Washing the iron

I just use glass cleaner for touch up spots or dawn dish soap and a wash mitt when it's real dirty. Works good for me. I just wiped it down with a towel after and ride it to dry the rest. The main reason I bought the Iron is because I don't like keeping things spit shined. I would rather ride then clean.

I was actually just told this the other day at the dealership that you can use windex to clean the bike up. I am guessing the ammonia free stuff, but I am kind of leery to try it.
I just take it to the car wash. The other day I got caught in some light rain and all the dirt from the farmers being in and out of their fields got all over the bike and made her look like a chocolate chip cookie.

Two days? TWO DAYS??? Hell, I don't even shower that often
I wash mike bike each year in April, but I missed this year so I'll have to wait until next April.
Ride safe, and enjoy your new iron.

Our manual recommends a dish soap degreaser and glass cleaner (can't remember if its with or with out ammonia) for the paint, this was before HD had there denim cleaner out. Hog Spit works good on the engine and everything else but I'm curious to try lemon pledge since its been getting alot of talk. Its supposed to work on everything though I don't think the denim will take a liking to it.
