Default 883 iron exahust question

hi i have just bought an iron and want to add vance and hines staggerd shortshots a fuelpak and a high flow air filter. can i fit these or should a dealer do it? many thanx for any thoughts

If you can turn a wrench you can do it. We're here to help you. If you have any further questions just ask. But I wouldn't pay a stealer to put that stuff on at $60+ per hr.

$60/hour???? You are lucky!!!

But in all seriousness, to add to what he said, DIY and if you are worried about performance, go have the bike tuned after the install. Depending on the parts, you could get a 20-30HP gain.

I wouldn't do the fuel pak, if you can swing the extra bucks get a power commander.

i was just leafing through and i found this, 20-30 horsepower? dont they make around 50 stock? If i could get a iron 883 i would do the same thing, subscribed.

I was saying around a 20-30 increase. That also depends on the high flow air intake and pipes. I believe I read that the pipes are 12-18 and the high flow air intake 8-12. However, my numbers could be wrong. Those also are dependent on a dyno tune.

ya thats what i was kinda figuring. its almost second nature to get a set of pipes/ new air induction/ tune for a good running bike. and the added bonus of looks isnt to overlook either.

just put a power commander and short shots on my new iron let me tell uall it is a compleatly bike 1-3 is smokin fast 4-5 so much more power
