Sap, check out the bars in the first pic. If you look at the 90 degree top section you'll see a curved part with holes in it that supports the two bar sections. That's the gussetting. I've spoken to the owner about the need to extend the hole/dimpling up to the gussett. He said that in the future he'd either address it or the person could request the holes/dimpling go up to the gussetting. Other than that I'm more than pleased with these bars.

your's is the second or third Iron I have seen with the plate vertical. It looks like you guys are using the stock bracket and everything.....Is that right? Is there a way to rotate the factory bracket?

Brett all you have to do is unbolt the slider piece and take that off, turn the plate vertical and insert plate bolts. The holes line up identical.

Sweet, does that mean the bottom bolts aren't bolted to anything? If so, I did try it that way, thanks....

Edit, I got it on with the slider, It doesn't line up perfect and will work as long as your mounting bolts are long enough.....I didn't like the bottom half of the plate hanging there, thanks guys

medic 2931, what leds did you use and did you have to put in a load equalizer? If you didn't are you noticing your turn signals flashing faster than normal?

medic, looks real nice. When you go to remove the reflectors saturate the foam double stick on it's back with Goof Off. Most hardware stores have it. Take your time and let the liquid soften the glue. Take some dental floss and triple it over and slip it in behind the reflector to cut the glue foam then use the Goof Off to clean the metal. Really soften the clue so you don't scratch the metal.

SAC make a nice bag that usually attaches to a sissy bar but could be strapped to your rack.

Licks makes a nice small bag for below the battery side cover.

Here's one on my 1200R;

CORRECTION:
Actually that SAC bag I posted the link to straps right to a rack and doesn't need a sissy bar.
I have their SAC and Cooler bag for my Road King and I strap the Cooler bag to my Sporty rack when necessary.
