Default Air Cleaner Stage 1

Hello, New to harley's and i have a 08 nightster. Looking to do the stage one DL thing, but im having a hard time knowing what air cleaner kit/cover i can use. I dont like the stock cover, or the screaming eagle (blower looking thing). I just want an old school looking round black cover (well just not chrome really). Is there something someone can suggest? So when i replace the air cleaner, is that it? just take off old one put new one on, then take it to the dealer for them to Download something? If i put V&H Shortshots on after that will i need to have the dealer DL again? i know about the "Fuelpack", but after air cleaner & pipes im done!!! dont see me modifying the motor more, so haveing dealer tune it seems the cheapest bet.
Any advice would be great thanks!!

Do the pipes first. No download is necessary just for pipes. Once you do the air cleaner, the download is necessary.

has anyone used a V&H Air intake system? They have one called the Duke that is Black and round. The Drak is still kinda football shaped. Think it like 240 bucks. may be better cuz then ill have all V&H (Fuelpak,ShortShots, and Air Cleaner).

you'll get a lot of opinions on this, but dont do the dl dude. go with a fuel pak or pc3/5. not much of a price difference. the dl is gonna run you about 260 at the dealer. you can get a fuel pak on ebay (brand new) all day for about 225, and fuel moto sells the pc3 for 279 shipped and will even install your proper map.
