Default Found a harley in the weeds

I found this bike in the weeds it was there for 5 years behind my friends house. I talked my friend into seeling the bike for 1000 cash but it did not run or have a bill of sale. My buddy just left the bike rot for five long years. It took about 3 weeks to get a bill of sale. The bike is a 1200 with only 8900 miles on her. I had pics on here before but heres some now that the bikes all done 1500 dollars later , alll new chrome everything , tires, carb, battey, chain, just about anything rubber. The bike has not one piece of rust anywhere its all new. Thank GOD she runs great and is very fast. The paint I did my self with a HVLP gun and some base coat/clear coat.

I've thought about this long n hard.....it seems you need to be rewarded for all your hard work and dedication....I've decided that I will offer you 3k for that old derelict scooter.....I know that's way too much, but that's the kinda guy I am.

Seriously.....You are a lucky friggin dog.......slap yourself on the back and take pride both in the steal and the finished product. I'm cheering that the bike went to a guy who had the ability and determination to get her back on the road in proud fashion. You diserve her...Enjoy her! She is your just reward.

Tell your neighbor that we here have decided he is no longer allowed to buy Harleys. He doesn't posess respect for fine American machinery.

yeah, that's the way to get 'em. Mine was in the back of a friend of a friend of a friend's garage, it was a rolling chassis, with 4 big boxes of parts. haha It was a big jigsaw puzzle for me.

Looks good!

But I strongly disagree with some of the posters on here about your buddy. I believe he should not only be allowed to buy Harley's, but he should be encouraged to buy as many as possible! Then he can come park one of them near my house.....I'll let the weeds grow really high for him!
