More Tank troubles
#11
the reserve is simply a shorter tube in the petcock, very simple design. pull the petcock out and check it like the others say and I am sure you will find something wrong. if you find any dirt or rust or even water, clean the tank
PS. if it is starting back up, you might be getting water in the tank, try using another gas station like exxon or chevron and stay away from those smaller no name stations

resolved for now
Well we did not pull the tank completely off or drain the gas but seems to be resolved for now. I don't really know what we did to fix it though either. We were short on time this weekend and the tank is a real pain to take off so we just tipped it on the side and removed the petcock and the filters were clean although there still could be crap in the tank. We also cleaned out the fuel transfer spots (don't know the technical name) one was slightly slow for fuel but it was like that last year and blew out the venting hose (again don't know the technical name) and we heard something come out of there but it could have just been some gas in there from tipping it over. I ran it out again to see where it would get to and the reserve kicked in right around 2.4 like it did and I get 3.4 out of it. So I guess we will hope for the best. Thanks for all your input.
