I have an 89 883 which has a 4 speed trans. I want to find out how I can and if I can swap it with a newer 5 speed. Anyone?

 

I asked about this awhile back too and didn't get an answer. I've been looking, and some say you can put the guts out of a newer one into an old one, and some say it won't work. Either way, you're going to be splitting the case, which is a pain.
