Remove the glass and replace the nuts on the inside. Then put the glass back in carefully.

I don't know. You could try heating it (boiling water?) to soften the glue (if that's what is holding it). I would have just bought a new mirror, but you asked how to fix that one.

You're not going to like this answer, but read on....

Can you hear anything rattling around in there when you shake it?

If so, it's probably a strap of metal with holes for the screws, and in the middle is a dimpled part that the ball from that mirror arm rides in.

Get yourself something like a dental pick (like the dentist uses to clean/scrape your teeth with) or something similar, cuz you're going to need it to stick up in there in one/both of those holes in a minute. You will use this implement to center the threaded holes over the holes in the back of the mirror...

Lay down on your back on the floor (your neck will get tired if you just try and hold the mirror upside down over your head) and hold the mirror up over your head so you can see those holes with a flashlight shining up in there... shake that SOB gently this way and that until you spy the metal with a screw hole over one of those holes. You need to see both screw holes in the metal lined up over each of the mirror holes (this is where the dental pick comes in, to help line up each hole/work the strap around...

Then GENTLY try to thread one of the screws into the hole... then the other... be prepared to repeat this NUMEROUS time until you get the hang of it... be prepared to set this whole thing aside, because you WILL get tired of it and swear all sorts of ways... but come back and try it again...

But this CAN be done.... ask me how I know ...

To be honest, the mirror looks pretty beat up. Is it worth fixing?
