I have to agree with Trigger1 and others that the seat is not especially pretty to look at in the way of other, more sleek looking seats, but she's really built for long rides, not bar hops baby! You really shouldn’t compare the Mini van to the Mini Cooper or Apples to Oranges. No! You compare touring seats to other touring seats. I throw on my Corbin Gunfighter for around town crusin and puttin and I put on the Sundowner for the long (300+ miles) rides or when I am taking along a passenger for a spin. I also understand what some are saying about the increased seat height, but since, in my case, I use the Sundowner for the long rides I don’t mind the extra seat height while I am going on the Freeway. I might in Stop and Go traffic but that has not been something that I have noticed with the seat so far. Just my 2 cents!

Don't get me wrong... seat looks good, feels good. Very comfy and great ergonomics.. Would not do long rides or passenger rides without it.. Only complaint is ride height but it is very minor. Good seat for the $$.

That was one of the others I was lookin at for my Sporty. Can't get past the price. Probably get the sundowner for now.

On the Dyna, though, I went with the Mustang with backrest. Oh, baby is that backrest nice.

I had a Sundowner for one year, very comfortable, However I never did like the look of it on my bike. I ride solo only so I really didn't need a 2-up seat plus I was still having back problems.
This year I got the Mustang with drivers back rest 'love it' for the first time in my life I can ride with no back pain.

I had the same issue with the Sundowner. I sold it and picked up a Drag Specialities Low Profile Wide seat. It was about $20 higher than the Sundowner. It is the same width as the Sundowner BUT it is ½" lower than the STOCK seat!
