rear shock replacement
Found some 12 inch rear shocks to replace my 14's. How hard is it to replace them. Looks to me like you will have to put the bike on a jack. My manual doesnt say anything about replacing the shocks for some reason. Friend of mine has some bran new 12 shocks off an 86 sporty he is gonna sell me for $20. I couldnt resist.

RE: rear shock replacement
Any reason why you want to change your shocks? From what I hear, it's much easier on a jack. What kind of shocks are they?

going from a 14 inch shock to a 12 inch to lower the bike a bit. they are stock off a 86 sport.

RE: rear shock replacement
i took off one shock at a time and didnt use a jack, just had to lift a little. a jack would be easier but not necessary! good luck dude
