Default Laid down my Sportie today

i was about to change lanes, looked behind me to clear my right side, looked back in front of me and 20 ft ahead was an SUV. tried to stop and got to about 10-15 MPH... BOOM luckly i was only doing 30 when i saw the guy, and i was wearing full gear. Ill have pics of the bike up later. but my intital estimate is 3k with labor to get it fixed... Bent forks, headlight, fender, controls, clipon, bent handle bars, dented tank, shifter is tweeked, but im fine. my back and neck hurt cause im sore. i sprained my right wrist really bad and scraped up my right knee without even tearing my uniform... how that happened idk. but all in all. just a bloody nose and a bruised lip...

give me a little bit and ill get some photos up

Gotta find an "Oh, Sh*t" patch now. I need 2 of 'em for friends, so if you find 'em, let me know. Good news is that the ride can be fixed. Good luck, God, or Karma was with you today. Heal well.

I think that the doctors told me that it is kinetic energy that causes you to have skin damage and soft tissue damage and stuff like that and the outer garments show no damage or very little at all. I was the victim of a hit and run driver while on the second motorcycle I ever owned and my jacket looked completely untouched and I had all kinds of skin abrasions and bruises and broken bones. It was as if I wasn’t even wearing the jacket when I was run over. Weird! I am glad that YOU are still with us and I hope that you heal soon.

glad to see you're ok. luckily, what broke is fixable and you can still physically throw a leg over it.
