Default Bike gurgles when shut off

For awhile now I've noticed when I shut the bike off (I hit the killswitch) sometimes the bike will, right before its completely off and silent, start to make a gurgling sound for anywhere from like 1 to 3 seconds and then shut off. I have no idea what it is or if its a bad thing, but it is annoying/embarrassing.

not really, more like a gurgling, like if you were to take mouthwash and gurgle it. Its about the same gurgling speed too. It lasts about 1-4 seconds and usually starts louder than it ends.

Could there be something leaking and you're hearing the last of it burning up on a pipe just after you shut it down?

Is your bike fuel injected? 07 or later I think. If it is, what you are hearing could be the fuel injection system depressurizing.

Nah, its not a leak. It sounds like its coming from the engine, and you can feel the bike do it.

02, carbed.

My bike does that occasionally. Always has. I can't determine any common denominator for the occurance. It's obviously not a major problem. I have over 55,000 miles on it now. It is a bit embarassing at times. If the bike happens to do that with people around, the way that I deal with it is just to say, "Oh, just shut up bitch". Works everytime.
