Default 08 1200C has shut down twice

I'm posting this without searching because I'm sure "My bike died" covers a very large amount of problems. I have an 08 1200C with stage 1, screamin eagle intake and a fuelpack. This has happened to me twice now, at a stop sign as soon as I start to take off, the bike completely quits, doesn't cough, chug, backfire, nothing. All the electrical shuts down too. If I sit there for a minute with the key off and let the security system arm when I turn the key back on it will start everything back up again. I figured once was a coincidence but twice I may have a problem. Has anyone else experienced this?

this may sound too simple, ut i would check your battery connections on both ends to make sure they are tight and corrosion free, especially the ground cable.

You might want to check your battery connections. Mine did that and come to find out the positive pole screw was backed out about 1/4 of the way. after tightned it back down i never had this problem again. Also make sure all of your connections are clean and not corroded, if so you can clean them off and that should help a little as well.

All the connections are tight and look like brand new when I took them apart and re-tightened them. I guess I'll see tightening them worked but any other ideas?

Ride your bike and see if it quits again, as before. If it does, take your bike in to dealer, since its covered under warranty and have them troubleshoot the security alarm. Oh and you might wanna see if your bike is throwing any error codes. Check the sticky for that procedure.

Hmmm, 2 codes. P0131 and P0151, both O2 sensors lean. I have a fuelpak installed and was running Xieds on top of that for awhile. I took the Xieds off because I though it was running a little rough with them installed. Are these codes serious? If the fuelpak is working correctly it shouldn't throw a lean code should it?

+1 on this, i'm not normaly a "go to the dealer" kinda guy but this seems like it could be a number of electrical issues and you don't need to hastle with that headache, make them fix it and don't let up on them until they do...because they might say it never happend with them so they can't diagnose it...don't let up

Default Back to the dealer:

But there is the friggin' warranty issue. If they sell and install the components, they usually cover their work. If you installed the fuel-pak and a/c, they will probably contend that you caused the problem and not cover it under warranty. Do you still have the stock exhausts on?

Default Even an 08........

can have some corrosion problems with the electrical. An improper ground could be one. I put dielectric grease on the fuses and relays also. It could be the fuel-pak.
