Dry weight of Iron 883 is 548lbs.
Dry weight of Nightster1200 is 545lbs.

So please explain what you mean by the weight factor difference?

So I dug a little more into my HD world. Correct both bikes are identical except for the Iron weighing 3lbs more, seat is different and so are bars. I am going to go with the Iron unless it takes more than 3 days to get one in as I am a instant gratification person. If I learn and ride for a year and feel the need for more power I can get a 1200 kit and still save some money.
