Default Bad for sporty to go above 75 mph?

I have a sportster 883, its an 2005 so it is rubber mounted. The only mods to it are a K & N air filter and V & H pipes. I use the bike to commute between college and Home, when I'm on the freeway at about 75 mph the engine seems to really be going, since my bike doesn't have a tach, I don't know what rpms I'm pulling. Is it hard on the bike to cruise at 70-75 mph continuously?

In a word, no. Your bike will do much better than 75mph. The only trouble you might run into is a speeding ticket.

Default Rev Limiter

Since the Sportys don't hve a tach, they do have a rev limiter, although I am not sure I would rely on it. I have had my 08 up to 115 no problem. If you are concerned, you can add a tach quite easily.

Hit 125mph on Medusa today. What a rush. Gonna put the Zippers Hammer kit in her next winter, figure to be sitting on a time bomb.
