I would and the thing cracks off at 6,200rpm every time. My R model tach is nice to have.

I thought Sportsters were never to be driven under 75 mph.

dude! I have had mine up to about 90 and you're spot on, driving this fast on pa. roads is crazy, period. i couldn't imagine going any faster especially with the apes, it literally feels like you're gonna get sucked off the back of the bike. Hey medusa, i'm guessing your needle was bouncing all over the place being that the speedo only says 120. 90 was too much and i never want to go that fast on my bike personally, i would of bought an organ donor if i wanted speed.

Used to run my 04 Spprty 80-85 all the time when still was an 883 with no problems although liked it a lot better at that speed after the 1200 big bore ... felt a lot smoother at that speed and got there a lot quicker as well...

Yeah, the 125 is just a best guess estimate, I looked down at the speedo once and saw it cross the 100 mark scared the crap out of me, ran it on the Blue route at night/ early morning I had just installed the power commander and my brother says you gotta jump on her, don't be afraid to open her up. I did notice that he was not following his own advice. Honestly don't think I will be doing that again any time soon.

be careful on the blue route soup........cops are ticketing like crazy. generally cops are ticketing like crazy everywhere. i've also noticed a lot more state troopers in areas i've never seen them before. a friend of mine just got caught doing 120 in a 55 on his organ donor and will be losing his license as a result, lucky that's the only thing he lost. cops tackled him (drew guns and ****) saying they were following him for 8 mi. but he never he knew it. be careful dude!

Thanks, since I don't have a tach I didn't know where it cut out. I've hit it a couple of times in 3rd crankin' wide open and gettin' it, but not at 115 on the highway. I may add a tach and oil temp guage at some point, but I kinda like the simple clean look of the original setup. So far I haven't found a mounting system that looks good. I may get some stainless and make my own custom mount.
