Default Sportster Seat

I have a 2008 Sportster 883 XLC. It came with a 2 up seat. The seat looks great and has great lines that match the bike. I love the seat for myself, it's perfectly comfortable, but the passenger seat is paper thin and my wife can't stand to ride for more than 30 minutes (although she enjoys the vibration). Can anyone suggest a seat that has a more comfortable passenger area that won't look bulky on an otherwise sleek looking bike.

i have heard about modding the stock seat with gel pads and more stuffing, but the fact is the stock seat has a way narrow seat back there. if your lucky enough to have a gf/wife who is petite and slim with a narrow bottom it should be ok, but if your like me with a big old healthy american girl, NOOO WAY.

Just get a thumbscrew for taking the seat on and off. Put the big ugly looking seat on when the OL is with you and put the stock back on when you are alone. Takes about 30 secs. to swap seats. I have a HD sundowner and the wife likes it alot more than stock. And believe it or not price is competitive if not lower than most aftermarket seats.

Default Petite

My wife's pretty small but she says her a** hurts every time se rides. I don't think the width is a problem, just the pad. Maybe I'll look into a gel pad for my stock seat.

Default Seat swapping

True, the seats aren't difficult to swap, I may do that. Thanks for the advice.
