Your in Colebook. I been riding down here in Rochester for a couple weeks putting miles on our Rent-A-Bikes. Mines going togather tuesday and ill be out!
Damn i dont know if i could live where you can only ride 6 months of the year.
It all just depends on what you are comfortable riding in. I rode every month this winter. I didn't ride in the snow, but the longest in between rides was probably about two weeks. The cold is fine, I rode in 12 degrees, but the snow and Ice are a bad thing.
To much sand still on the roads. People dont think so but weve had 3 bike wrecks already. Guy/Gal gets into the center lane and looses it. We had one woman slide 180' on the pavement. Weve had some good rain, not eveything is completly washed off the roads. At night its been in the 20's, not enjoyable to ride that cold to me.
I have found that with the right gear I can ride down to 25 degrees. The ice and white stuff are the only things that keep me down. Here in St. Louis it can be sunny and 70 one day and 25 the next. You just have to adapt and take the good with the bad. I don't have a riding season, I just ride more in the summer. 8K miles in one year.
