The throttle friction wheel is not perfect on the ups and downs, but you can still adjust your throttle with it on. It still takes a lot of the stress off your throttle hand.

Get one of the plastic clamps that provide a wrist rest. In fact, that is the first thing I would recommend that you get for your new bike. It will make you laugh when people ask if a Sporty is good for long distance rides.

I had one of those plastic wrist rest thingys on my Sporty once. I took it off cause I couldn't get used to the damn thing. It was in the way.
