Also stated above, twice in fact, the original poster IS GETTING GOOD SPARK AND IS GETTING FUEL.

Can this microprocessor in the speedometer also put fires out when the spark hits the fuel?

Maybe the original poster is wrong, and he IS NOT getting fuel, or spark. But I asked him that very early on, and he insists that he is.
If he is getting those two nessecities, I don't see how it won't fire up.....unless it is really flooded? Or the timing is waaaaaaay off!
Again I'll ask, what other things did you do to "repair" the bike after laying it down???

start your bike lay it over on its side, cut it off, sit it back up and try to start it.....you know its getting fuel because it was just running, pull the plug and you will see fire...but it WILL not start till you reset the speedo...I can't tell you why this is but it is.

i drove the bike home from the accident so i dont see how the reset thing could be the problem. i only had to replace the left footpegs, bend the handlebars back and repaint. i was only going like 25 mph. it just wont start. it cranks but wont start. its not flooded because i waited overnight and still nothing. i have seen both plugs sparck perfectly and seen the gas squirt. i tried turning the key on and off 5 times and nothing

Default Plugs

Check the plugs for fouling. Maybe some oil got in the mix and fouled the plugs. It's the only thing I can think of that could keep it from firing if you have spark and fuel. Also coild be a coil or timing problem, a spark isn't a spark, you need a good spark at the right time.
