I really wish these fit on the 03 and earlier sporty's. my 99 sport is just dying to wear a pair...but they won't fit!

I installed the short shots on my wifes 06 883 and man oh man do they sound nice. I never thought the smaller 883 engine could sound like one of the big boys but to be honest it has a better sound then my Ultra with slip on Pythons.

Installed the short shots last night . Install went fine but the clamps for the heat shields are pain in the butt . Those things sound absolutely awesome. Could not believe an 883 could growl like that . I took the first ride and was totaaly amazed. I had SE2's on it prior and there was a night and day difference in the performance of this bike . I hit the rev limiter in the first three gears and it pulled hard all the way to the limiter and acted like it wanted more . NO carb adjustments needed at this point because I had a 45 slow jet and a 180 in it to start with . I am very pleased with my decision to go with the short shots . These pipes are much much louder then the SE2'S but in my opinion also outperform them as well . Thanks for all of your inputs .

Man this is the best post i have found so far about changing the exhaust. I dont even have my bike yet, awaiting delivery of my 06 883 and already know that i want these pipes. My search is over, thanks Frank for the video gives me the sound of the exhaust and sound that i want.
