I think I've made a terrible mistake

For '2-up riding', and if you don't want to go with the large Touring Models, it's hard to beat the Softails for comfort, especially with the "B" counterbalanced engines. My Softail FatBoy is the only Harley I've ever owned in which the mirrors actually act as mirrors at higher cruising speeds.
You can cruise '2-up' with all models, guess it just depends on how much comfort the rider and passenger require...

Jhorra,
Mandog has it right. Superglides do handle differently the Sportsters. I don't know how often your wife rode with you, but another on a bike makes a difference too. If your wife is more confortable on the glide, this is a big plus. She even may sugest things to get for your bike and support any mods you want to make.
I've rode both, and after some time on the sportie I like both.

I have to agree. I love my sporty, but the gears aint meant for hiway use. I can dust my buddy's 1340 from lite to lite, but up on the interstates you can forget that! His bike will just walk away! I'm at the top end of 2nd gear, he's still not out of 1st yet! I'm gonna go buy another bike and still keep this one. Hey, It's a good thing to have more than one girl in the stable! Best of luck and ride safe....................HOLLYWOOD

You will get use to the Dyna in time. I think they are great bikes and are quite bigger and different than Sportsters. The softer ride and more room should be a nice improvement. Power wise, pretty close to the 1200's. Sportsters are quick but the big twin will roll after 4th gear. I figure I'll buy a Super Glide some day.

I think I found part of the problem. One issue I had was it never seemed to ride as good as the Sportster. My engine light came on the other day on the way home from work, so I took it into the dealership. Turned out, likely from the factory they said, some wiring was exposed inside my wiring harness.
They fixed it, and it's a much smoother and better ride than before.
