Default Bike missing when cold.

I have a 08 Nightster w/V&H shortshots ,SE a/c,and PC3 .I just put the short shots on before that I had the SE slipons. I re-mapped the pc3 with the map for the shortshots, now the bike misses when I start it up then quits after I ride it for 5-10 minutes . Anybody have this problem if so let me know what you did to fix it.Or is this normal.
thanks
JT.

How cold are we talking? The bike needs time to warm up some before you take off if it's cold outside. 50 or below mine stalls then starts right back up. Start it at idle and don't crank the throttle for a few min to let it warm up, when you open the throttle during warm-up, the computer goes out of warm-up mode and could be causing your stalling. You may also need to tweek your map a little...

The start up map is a little different than the run map,if you gas it during this mode you will get a cough.

Yes, warm up is vital even on the FI bikes. Good rule of thumb is to let her warm up enough that you can't put your hand on the heads for very long, it doesn't need to singe you, but needs to be uncomfortable after a couple of seconds.
