Default Mikuni 42 Carby compared to Original on Bike.

What do you think of performance gains etc with the Mikuni?

There are no performance gains, check around the internet and you will find there is absolutely no advantage to going to a Mikuni other than it has a little more throttle responce, (it sounds racier but it's not).
I had one for a short time, it was a pain it the butt to find parts for and to tune compared to the stock carb.

Parts are very easy to come by! http://www.mikuni-foxdist.com/ I would call in your order though (630) 513-9700.

I just drive over there and get my parts though

I have a S&S Super E. It is rude, rowdy and really pores the juice through. Oh, and it has a really cool air cleaner.

Yea by all means get the S&S cause it has a "really cool air cleaner." not because it kick a$$ and performs great.
