Which exhaust is louder? The Vance & Hines Straight Shots or the SE II's. Which would you buy to have on your bike. Has any one switched from one to the other?

 

I would have to guess the Vance & Hines. The SEII's are suppose to be a good sounding, but a quieter exhaust. You should buy the one that you want. Judge it by looks or sound or whatever. It's up to you. I would find bikes similar to yours with it installed and then make a decision. You can hang around a dealership or a rally for that. I personally like cycle shacks over SEII's. They are slightly louder and better sounding IMO and cost less.

 

My dad had SE's on his touring. It was a good deep tone but not nearly as loud as my Straightshots on my sporty. Mine are much louder and he likes mine and whats to convert. I asked the dealorship before i bought exhuast and they mentioned aftermarket is louder.

 

V&H for sure....my buddy has the SE pipes ....they are nice but not really loud.....i've rode with a bike that had V&H pipes....they sound pretty dam good....i just put sampson rip saws on my bike and i love'em......deep rumble....not very raspy like drag pipes.....and i think they are louder than my drag pipes.....
