Harley has definitely changed their ways. My first bike was a Honda, because when i walked in the Harley dealership nobody said hello or even looked at me, so I never got to sit on em(my fav back then was the roadster). This was in 2002. Finally got the nightster in 07, few months after its release. must have meant to be.. the nightster is 10000% more comfortable than my honda. (im a midget, 5-01, 103 lbs)
un'harley' people think its a night train i make it look so big.

I just happened to want a Sportster 1200C I'm not a big guy, I didn't want a big ole dresser but they were sure I did. I gave my business to the dealer that listened to what I wanted, how I was going to use it and gave me a good deal. If they would quit pushing the big expensive touring bikes they might get more business. Times are tuff, women are smart enought to know this and determined enought to have it there way.

I agree with you. Dealers spend way too much time trying to talk people out of buying Sportsters. SO many dealers were telling me that I DIDNT want a sporty that it actually stopped me from buying a bike a couple of years ago. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on the bike they wanted to sell me. Besides I just love the look of the Sportster with the peanut tank.

I finally found a dealer that didnt tell me NOT to buy a sporty and I bought the bike I have wanted for a long time....XL883L.

Pulled into a food bag yesterday to buy some smoke's, at the same time so did a rice rocket, as I walked out, a young girl walked by. She looked at booth bike's, and said (WOW! WHAT A GREAT LOOKIN BIKE!). Guess witch bike she was talking about? Needless to say, I gave her a ride home. Gave me her phone number, Nuff said? (It is what it is) and it is a Harley.........................HOLLYWOOD

Well, the last bike night I went to, there were 4 Nightsters there, including my own. Two were ridden by women, and I don't know who rode the fourth one. So, at least 50% of the Nightsters present had women pilots. Maybe it is a chick bike!
