Factory Hard Bags
Anyone out there in the Sporty forum running the factory hard bags? Looking for a pic or two of the open bag to get an idea of the size prior to ordering them...Wife wants a 3/4 bagger...bags, windshield radio and about 1/2 the weight..Sounds like a plan but need to gather info first..

I didn't find any bags that were easily removeable, but you can possibly pick up some bags and mount them on Easy Brackets or Ghost Brackets
I did a lot of research into hard bags before I settled on the ones I have now.
Corbin, National, and HardStreet are all sources, in addition to the bags available from Harley Davidson.
I selected Hard Streets because of their size, cost, the opening shape and they can work with the detachable backrests. I just got back from a 3,000 mile week long trip and I am extremely satisfied with them. They did allow a little moisture in, but I got into some very bad weather (400 miles of non-stop thunderstorms with some nasty wind gusts)
They are quite large inside, though not as large as the Corbin Fleetliner (1800 cubic inches vs 2400 cubic inches) and they had little to no impact on the stability and handling of the bike when loaded. The bags do bounce a little on particularly rough roads, but that is the ABS flexing and not the mounting brackets.
Another plus, if your wife were to decide to upgrade to another bike, Hardstreet makes brackets for almost any bike and you can transfer them to the new bike.
At $400, I believe you'd be hard pressed to find a better quality bag for the Sporty.
Good luck and let us know what you decide on!

You can see the speakers on the bars. If you need the inside dimensions of the bags, just let me know.
