Kuryakyn Pro R Hypercharger problem
My hypercharger's butterfly valves don't move. They sit there wide open when she's parked and when the bike is running idle. There is really no range of motion coming from them at all. Any maintenance tips/advice to get them working the way it should be? Thanks.

The Hypercharger uses vacuum to close the butterflies. If your vacuum line is disconnected, blocked or leaking the butterflies will stay open.
If you can't move the butterflies by hand, you likely have a problem with stuck linkage in the Hypercharger mechanism.
The butterflies are open in the absence of engine vacuum since they are controlled by an 'open fail' vacuum pod. At lower RPMs (high engine vacuum) the flies remain partially closed. As RPMs climb, engine vacuum falls off and the spring behind the diaphram in the vacuum pod overpowers it causing the flies to open.
There is a tension screw in the center of the vacuum pod that can be adjusted once the jamb nut is loosened. This will allow for fine tuning of the fly response.
