Default sreaming eagle heavy breather

i have a few questions about this. i like the looks of it but i ride alot and get caught in the rain alot. how well dose the rain sock work for rain and washing.

Not well. Even washing with the sock on i gotta use a plastic bag to cover it .

okay this subject has been beat to death but i will give you my own personel experience i have the heavy breather on two bikes my nightster & my streetglide i rode my bike one sunny sat morning the weather was perfect until the afternoon im on my way home the sky started to get dark next thing you know it,s starts pooring down rain like pooring **** out of a boot im 10 miles from town no place to pull over there was a white mercury in front of me thats all i could see im thinking if he runs off the road im going with him cause i cant see the edge of the road i finaly made it to town my nerves were shot but i made it safe and yes the heavy breather came through like a champ the nightster didnot miss a lick thats why i put it on my streetglide no problem .does this answer your question???? and no i dont work for harley davidson !!!!!!!

Like hot77vette, I got caught in an outburst. The sock on the heavy breather did its job. When washing the bike the water beads up on the sock just like it would on a car with a good wax job.

sorry for all the dumb questions im having trouble deciding between the heavy breather and just the stage one . i like the looks of the breather but the water thing kinda worryed me. i like to wash my bike and it seems like i get caught in the rain alot. one more dumb question wich one is better performance wise. . thanksfor all the help

performance wise...........you might get a couple extra hp but it's mainly for looks man. i took it one step further and painted the chrome gloss black on mine, i just hate chrome.

Rode about a half hour in a downpour and left the condom for it at home. No problems at all.

I have a 1/2 season used chrom heavy breather if you are interested in saving a little bit of money on one, all parts necessary to install are included with original box and instructions, let me knowl.
