I guess you could say the 883 is the small block of Harley. They can and will kick your ***! Depending on what year, My 2007 883 keeps up with with 1340"s that I run with. They ask what kind of fuel I run to make the bike run as well as it doe's, it's not the fuel, it's the gears. lowest Harley puts on all it's bikes. It's what the sporty was built to do. If you want it to run, put on an after market system for pipe's, HIFLO AC, and a remap chip. Harley only has a 5600 rev. line if that. It's not a Honda, it will develop power at lower RPM. You got a great bike, look into making it better! Let us know what you do.................

Thanks.. I just installed clip-ons and lowered the front end and a new throttle tube/grip. I think the cable is to long. I've adjusted and adjusted it. It doesn't really spring back. I'll probably have to see if I can pickup a shorter cable somewhere.

I bet ya a dime to a dollar I ride more on my "mini bike" than you do. That is if you even have a bike, or ***** for that matter.


Back to the original question. Honda is a high RPM bike, very little torque. Harley, LOTS of torque and low RPM'S. It's just a different animal. You'll get used to it. Probably grow to love it......TORQUE IS FUN!!!
