Default Damned low fuel light won't go out!

The low fuel light has, in the past, stayed on for a while after a thorough bike washing. But it always went off as soon as everything dried out. But after sitting through the winter, now it's on and won't go off! What a pain it is to look down and see that thing all the time! Guess I'll have to thumb through the service manual and see if it says anything about that light.

Pull the two relays in the fuseblock. I bet they are corroded. If they are, replace them. 20+ bucks a piece at stealer. Blow the bike dry after washing.

Default low fuel light

Same here I bought a new 2009 XL1200, on 3/1/09, the light came on after riding 63 miles, filled the tank it took only one gallon, the light came back on after 67 miles the second time, did not fill up but rode the other day and so far the light has not come on. The mechanic at the dealership said the sensor is in the fuel tank. If you find out anything let me know.
