Your bike is sick! Did you paint/powdercoat the wheels yourself or did you buy those aftermarket? Very nice work man.
I thought about having the local powder coater (who did my tins) do the wheels - but didn't trust them with doing it right.
I sent them down to HD Wheels. They disassembled, powder coated, replaced the nipples, assembled, and trued the spokes. They powder coated with two coats - the first was a maroon base and then with a flat candy red. Gives it a translucent look and depending on how the light hits them it's either a maroon, burgandy, or deep red tone.
Looks really good. Love the 343, never forget. I have a small IAFF sticker on the timer cover, it is subtle but still noticeable. Christner, saw that fatboy when I was in Appleton for pre-paint inspection it is a nice looking bike.
Just a thought on this after another closer look...why not make a couple of plates that fit over that plastic wire loom thing? It would really clean up the tank area. Maybe even just some sheet metal cut to fit and painted flat black or somethin, just screwed into it, or use small nuts n bolts just to keep it clean?
It's definitely nice looking, but that one little area sticks out for some reason.
beautiful dude! i like the look you achieved without hacking the **** out of it like some others i've seen. i don't get the whole whitewall just in the back thing though, i think one up front would look awesome on your bike, i was thinking of running them myself. ride safe!

Thanks for the compliment!
What I like about the single WW is it sets the bike apart (I'm not the first to do this. Search 'bobbers' with Google's image search and you'll see many).
I was debating having my rims powder coated an off white with chrome spoke or maybe adding some color - such a red. When I came across this bike I really liked the look of the wheels so it became an inspiration for me.
I couldn't cut mine up any more since I ride year round in WA state - I need the fenders.
