Think about it: actually everything on here is an "opinion" given the fact that I am here in cyber-garage and cannot perform proper checks in response to problems presented so every "solution" is theoretical.

 

But that would cost money that I could otherwise be spending on GLITTER!

 

Windshield... well, here in spongeland (NW Oregon) it can be helpful. Mine's a quick-release one for the rare warm day though. When I was a young punk we used to cheat by strapping a sleeping bag to the handlebars. It had the same effect on a long ride.

 

Actually I really miss the XR650R I traded in on my Sporty . It made trying to find traction fun

Those bells are stupid. Ding-a-ling-a-ling! Here comes someone who doesn't believe in maintenance!

Tassels are really stupid too unless they're on a 6-year old girl's pink trike, then and only then, they're cool. I swear, next time I see two Harleys with tassles on 'em close together, I'm tying 'em together!

If you can't pick it up, don't ride it. If you can't BACK IT UP people, don't ride it - that doesn't mean necessarily being able to back it up from the saddle, if you're built like me the situation often calls for grabbing the bars and rolling it back while walking aside it. Or realizing you're stuck and popping up off the bike to aside it then backing it up. I've never had someone give me a "push" lol.

Do-rags are your friend! Even with a crew cut, they prevent an awful lot of helmet hair.

I don't know about the 'helmet hair' thing (as I don't wear helmets), but I have always had very long hair, and a do-rag or knit cap do wonders for keeping long hair out of your face..

 

I think apes over 12" on sporty looks stupid as hell. That small bike with those long @$$ handlebars.

Also, if you wear clothes when you ride, you are a sissy.

And headlights are for little girls!!!
