Smile First legal ride

Well I took my first legal ride yesterday and it was great.. weather was finally nice enough to ride. I know I told a lot of people that I would post about my test on Friday.. and I didn't sorry .. I didn't forget my youngest son was sick with the flu. so I've been watching him most the day when I got home and Saturday I had to bring him to the hospital.. he was running 104.1 fever at like 6 at night and didn't get home until about 11.. he doing fine still sick but doing much better. I made a 82 on my test and if your wandering in Texas after you take your written test you don't get a permit for a year like some people were wondering also (keep in mind I took the MSF Course and was exempt from the driving prt of the test) you get a license. I don't know if you get a permit if you don't take the MSF Course. It cost me 15 bucks for the test and new license. Figures that it was rainy all day friday until Monday.. The ride Monday was great but I soon relized why people love forward controls.. Yesterday was the longest I had whrode since I got the bike.. and after about 30 min my knees felt like there were part of my stomach.. So I think my next upgrade will be forwards..

And if you haven't taken your test yet.. Its not that hard.. just read carefully.. they really try to screw you on how they word stuff..

I think in Texas they just give you like a $30 ticket for driving a motorcycle without a class M license.. of course you have to have some type of Drivers License..

I rode for 23 years without a M on my DL. Got stopped once with a new/used bike and they let me go with a handshake promise to get the M! So 1 1/2 years later I took the MSF course. It was a good time and yes I still learned a few points.
