Default Lowering Kit

Has anyone tried the 1-3 inch lowering kits for the rear shocks on your sporty? I have a 99 XLH 1200 and I'm about to drop mine the whole 3 inches but want to see if anyone has had or heard of any problems IE bottoming out, loosening of mounts etc....

I have the 1-3 in kit on my 99 1200. I ride 2 up on the roads in new orleans(if you have been here you know you could loose a bike in them) and I have never bottomed out. I am 170 and the wife is 110 dripping wet. I say go for it and at worst you can get stiffer shocks

I don't ride 2 up very often, sometimes take the daughter and she is very small and I only weight 175lbs so sounds like I should be good to go.
