Just get these OEM equivalent hiway pegs for $74.87, http://www.discountcycleparts.com/xc...number=27-1728 Then find a local shop to powdercoat them black and you'll have nice set far less than HDs. Nobody makes the hiway pegs in black, at least not yet.

Here's a link to the catalog page so you can see them: http://www.vtwinmfg.com/catalogs/cyr/pdf/1010.pdf

+1. I looked hard for black mounts and ended up with chrome and gonna powder coat em.
That's a good price on that link, I paid more by a few bucks.

Yes you'll need to get some pegs as far as I know and the plates are what bolt up to your front mounts where fwd. controls would normally go then you can adjust the peg arms in three different positions to suit.

Default Highway pegs

Like to jump in with a question in regards to the Vtwin highway pegs. Will H.D. foot pegs work with the Vtwin highway peg kit? I figured they should. Anyone? I plan on putting them on my 1200 Low. It has a highway bar but I want to mount the highway pegs on the frame not the bar.

I have had the Harley factory adjustable highway peg supports for almost 5 years now and they work great. I also know a rider that has crashed on a Sportster that had them on and they saved that bike from what could have been a lot of damage. The part number is 49053-04 and they list for $177.95 but you'll need to add the price of a set of pegs. Nothing like frame sliders that actually work.

so they would sit pretty low then even tho u can adjust them?...cuz I've seen picz of some where u can mount highway pegs pretty far up on the frame...

There are also clamp on hiway pegs and moustache bars that pegs go on which are less conspicuous than a hiway/crash bar. Astrohell85 posted a nice shot of the HD/Vtwin style hiway bars that are adjustable. I actaully don't run either as I've had fwds. the last 3yrs. but put mids on to try a couple weeks ago and was looking at different hiway peg setups. I decided after trying them for over 300 mi. the mids were too far back vs. straght down for my legs and put my fwds. back on and abandoned the idea of hiway pegs.
