Default Cheap sporty motorcycle cover.

So I went to buy a motorcycle cover the other day at walmart because I hadn't washed the bike in ohh 3 weeks, it was hideous and a bitch to clean being that it's black(water spots and little hidden areas). I'm used to a sport bike that well to say the least has less hidden areas. Ohh well after getting it all sexy I didn't want to get it dirty again right away. So, I go to Walmart( I know I know but I saw it the other day and thought it was 25) and the one I wanted actually was 45 or so duckets... So I changed my mind and finished what I was doing...

Anywho, point of all this, I was standing inline with the wife at the Garden section randomly and I look over at a grill cover, it was 65" and so I says to myself, mehh that would almost cover the whole bike but I'd like something longer, at the same time my wife turns to me and says what about a grill cover? I laugh and said I think it's a little shy of long enough then I see it,

70" walmart grill cover, 25.00 duckets... it fits perfect. I was a little iffy about it considering I thought it would look like a grill cover on a motorcycle. NOPE, looks like a tan motorcycle cover and it works hella good. it rained hard here the last 2 days and the bike is bone dry and CLEAN under it. It looks like it belongs with the bike. the tiedowns are in perfect places by the wheels on the ends to tie down and being in OKC if it holds the wind which it does very well, you know it's on there pretty taunt.

Sorry for being lengthy but for those who have their bikes outside without a cover, here's one for you a cheap well crafted cover that looks good and covers everything without a high price tag.

Is is lined? If not, I'd be concerned about whether it may scratch the finish.

Walmart sells a motorcycle cover for 20 bucks. It is a Wolf brand and a decent cover.

Ditto, especially if it flaps against the bike in a breeze.

You should get a Bike Barn. It works great. Nothing touches the bike. It poured down rain here last night, wind blowing everywhere. I went to get my jacket out of the saddlebag this morning, and the bike was clean and dry as a bone. Best investment I've made. I don't work for Bike Barn either, just really like their product.

Another concern is trapped moisture. Decent bike covers have vents to allow air to flow. Do a Google. Nelson Rigg's "Defender" is a nice cover that's not too expensive. Forget the grill cover on your bike. Use it for fire wood, your wheel barrow or lawn mower. Maybe for your grill, not your bike.

I don't know about motorcycles but with trailers our customers do more damage with a cover flapping all winter than the weather ever would.
