Default Gas Milage

I was just curious as to what everyone was getting for milage. I just worked mine out and it was 39 mpg. I just put the stage one jet kit in so I assume this is going to hurt it a bit.

I bought it used and I think it was sitting a bit and this tank lasted longer than the last, but what should I expect.

I am planning a trip from northern illinois back here to new orleans this summer(I am trailering the bike up there), and I dont want to be worried about a long road stretch with no gas

I get about 400 miles on a tank of gas on my '08 XL1200R.

In terms of MPG, I get from mid 20's to high 40's depending on how nasty I am to the throttle. Mainly, though, I'd say about 40-43mpg.

I've got the Stage 1 as well. Usually get around 43 in the city. Closer to 50 highway.

[QUOTE=Bacon_Grease;4694601]I get about 400 miles on a tank of gas on my '08 XL1200R.

Wish I could do half that good. LOL.

Somewhere in the 40's is about average for city.

Default Mpg

I just rode over 500 miles in a weekend heres what I got...

2.047 Gal, 84.3 Miles = 41.18 mpg
1.625 Gal, 72.9 Miles = 44.86 mpg
1.764 Gal, 74.6 Miles = 42.29 mpg
2.028 Gal, 80.3 Miles = 39.59 mpg
2.172 Gal, 85.6 Miles = 39.41 mpg
1.657 Gal, 67.7 Miles = 40.85 mpg
1.861 Gal, 80.5 Miles = 43.26 mpg

Was getting in the 40s for Highway then the two 39s in town. My fuel light comes on just after 80 miles, I try not to go past 100 miles on a tank. Course I have the small tank, 2.5 gallon. Never maxed it yet.

I get about 5 smiles per mile. A little less if it's raining/snowing.

Bacon, what size tank do you have? 400 mile on a tank? it must be around a 10 gal tank.

I have gotten 195 miles on a tank with out hitting reserve but that all depends on how much I crank that throttle open but I reguarly get in the 180 range so I get 50+ MPG. I have the 4.5 gal tank.
