I was thinking of returning them to the stealer and getting a set of Avons instead (essentially a clone of the Performance Machine, at about 1/2 the price). Anyone have any input on the Avons??
I just didn't like the grip and the way they felt. I didn't feel like I had alot of control when I was really pushing the bike. I come from riding sportbikes and thinner hand grips. The renthal on the PMs sticks like crazy and the contour of them feels good when I grip them.

Thanks papadop! I was thinking that they would be a bit slippery. I don't wear gloves when I ride, and it seems like on a hot day they might get sweaty, and I wouldn't want to lay it down because of sweaty palms. The contour of PMs and the Avons (the PM clones) look alot more comfortable than the grips in question.

Running Avon contours here and don't mind them at all.

I just switched (again) from Avons with billet trim, back to the all rubber old school look. I'll never purchase anything that has "billet" again. It looks like plastic, so fake.

This is what I did with my original grips for $3.95. Works great and real comfortable.
