Default how to dissconnect choke from carb

I did a Search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I have the carb off my 06 1200 bike, so 'exactly' how do I disconnect the Choke assemblies from the Carb ? I want to be sure I don't brake the cable or something inside the carb... Thanks.

BTW, I stripped the threads on that cheap plastic nut...
