Default Bike in for service

Took the bike into the indy last weekend after installing the HB for a rejet and service before the season picks up. I got the bike with 5000 miles on it and I'm at about 10,500 miles and nothing was in between so I figure let them check over everything. He called me asking which oil I want and he recommended Amsoil Synthetic and I gave him the green light for that. He said it will keep the oil temp cooler and give a little more power.

As for the rejet, he put in 44 for the pilot and 175 for the main jet. He told me he wouldn't go any bigger than 175 but if after I ride it I want to bump it up bring it in. I told him I want to go with the 180 but thats when he said he wouldn't recommend it. The reason I suggested the 180 was because thats what I see everyone has with a similar setup to mine. I'll have the bike back in about 2 hours.

EDIT: I called up the dealership I know that allows for test rides and unfortunately they said they didn't have an 883 available. I'll have to try back later.

Each bike is different, but the indy is probably right. The 45/180 jet combo is typical for a stage 1 1200, not an 883.

All the money I've put towards this bike since I bought it could have been 75% towards the cost of the 1200 conversion by now.
