Default progressives vs. gas shorty shocks

I'm debating whether to lower the bike and go to 10" gas shocks from skullmanonline, or to just put on some 11" progressives. I want a bit more of a comfortable ride then the stock shocks, but dropping the bike even lower would be sweet. I want to occasionally throw the girlfriend on the back and go for a boot, but I'd be riding solo most of the time...

Anybody ride with 10" shocks? How's the clearance/comfort/cornering? Did you slide the forks up the trees to lower the front end or did you change the front springs or something?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
D

Look good or feel good. I just got some 11# black pregressives. They looks swewet, they ride better than factory, but they sit at the same height. The 10" gas shocks probably look sweet, but with only 0.5"-1" of travel.. it's gonna ride rough.

10" shocks & comfort.... You can't have both. I got the 10" Lick's short shocks. Mine seems to ride smoother with the GF on versus solo, but mine are the heavy duty 10"ers. I didn't slide the front forks up or change anything on the front. I personally don't mind the rougher ride with the 10"s. I've noticed a slight loss in cornering, but it's not as bad as some people make it out to be. If you want comfort and low, I'd say go with some 11.5" pro's and a lowering block. 10"ers don't give much shock travel at all.

thanks guys, i'll probably go for the progressives... seems like the more "practical" solution, especially since I was in an accident last season and my back's been giving me problems.
