Default Hex bolts ahoy!

Cool, I will give it a try.
I think ours Irons are set a little higher here in Oz to compensate for our terrible roads, so it is not scraping that badly, but it is an awful shock when you are concentrating on a corner to feel that hit under your foot.

I did the same thing with the exhaust bolt on a near hairpin turn the other day. Ground a good chunk out of it.

Thanks guys

Default Iron Stock Shocks wanted

Hello everyone,
I want to change my iron stock shocks...
I mean, i own an italian Iron which comes with shocks much longer than the US version. For some stupid law we can't have the same cool looking bike the way it was meant to be and so our rear fender stands so high and far from the wheel and it doesn't look good...to me!
I was thinking of going for the progressive 412 all black but to be honest i like more the chrome spring that is on the US stock shocks.
If anyone has changed theirs and want to get rid of them i will buy them!
I will take care of all the shipping and everything.

thanks ;-)

Default Security Chain?

Hey Ironheads--

Do any of you lock down your bike with a security chain? If so, what make and what size? I'm probably going to garage mine, since I live in NYC; but I'm thinking I might want to carry a chain for when I have to park it in the street. Any suggestions? Much obliged.

Thanks again to all for keeping this thread so fun and cool.

Cheers.

Arch

Mustang 12.5" vintage solo and 8" vintage standard rear seat. The sissybar is the "new" detachable HD and recommended pad. The bar and passenger pillion come off in less the a couple of minutes. I usually ride it like....

Agreed. I was taking a fairly slow but tight turn in traffic, peg feeler scrapped loud at slow speed. Scared the crap out of me.

I know this sounds crazy but I would like a longer shock with more travel, I am just wondering if it would just be a "bolt on" or are there other things to consider...?

Default passenger footpeg mount kits

Does anyone know if you have to remove the V & H short shot pipes to install the right side passenger foot peg mount?? It seems like it's too tight a fit to get the wrench in between the bracket and hex screw??
Thanks!!
