Mod changes since last post for the wife's "buckshot" Iron are;
Mustang Cyclone solo seat, XR1200 M/C & calipers, Roadster RH
lower fork slider, EBC narrow contour rotors, Nightster front fender,
Intiminators, Vibronators, D&D mufflers, buckshot mirrors, levers,
heatshields, upper & lower belt guard holes, JockerMachine fork
cap bolts, center stem bolt & handlebar clamp, a big hole in the
sprocket cover for the FigureMachine sprocket cover visiblibility.
Headlight relocation & elimination of "the brow".
After the new contour rear rotor & Moto footpegs arrive, she'll be "done".
(while I collect parts for a 1250 conversion)

Looks great! I guess that confirms I could do the XR1200 caliper mod if I still had my mag wheels on. Would you know whether it works with laced wheels?

Hehh - same answer you got on the XLForum - not on a 19" spoke wheel.
XR caliper works fine on the 16" spoke wheel of my Softail Slim though.

Sounds like you need to investigate a PM or other "slim" aftermarket caliper.

good luck,

T.

Yes, it partially blocks passenger pegs but no issues at all. So far installed both saddlebags and no problem with the wife or my kids going as passengers and using the pegs.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, after reading everything I've come to the same conclusion. The XR1200 mod won't work with my 19" laced wheel. Also looked into using the Vrod calipers, but you end up changing a lot more.

So, for now, I'll go with upgrading the pads, put on braided lines and possibly, if I feel flush, floating rotors. Any tips on rotors?

Cool My New bike; named it 'Schatten'

Got my bike almost a month back, been riding sparingly.

Plan to get the Mustang Fastback Seat and Vance & Hines Header Wrap Kit in black color.

Love the stock look of the bike as well..!!!!
