I got these for the ol' ladies Iron.

They are easy to take off for times when she wants to ride with
the quick-detach windshield.

Default My 2013 Iron

Here's mine.
American Custom exhaust, Figure Machine ac, x14ied's, bare bones seat.

I want to change the exhaust, not too happy with the American Custom, and the handlebars to either drag bars or mini-z bars. 2 completely different looks, I know....I've got the winter to think about it. Are drag bars uncomfortable?

I really wanted to put on the V&H short shots but I've read to many bad things about them....way too loud, very poor performance etc. Is this true? Anyone have the V&H Twin Slash 3" slip-ons? Are they quieter than the short shots?

I've since gotten rid of the clip-ons. I have joint/wrist problems so having the extra pressure on my hands from leaning forward wasn't comfortable.

This isn't as clear of a picture, but you can see I've raised my bars a little more.

And yes, I beat the rain home

How do you like those grips? I've been thinking about putting those on, glad I saw them, they look good.

I've got the twin slash on my 48 and they are great! And yes they are not as loud as the short shots. But...if you change the quiet baffles for some performance baffles (as I did) they will be loud as hell. unfortunately you'll also loose back pressure. Had to modify them to be less loud and get the back pressure back. I'm happy with them but I'm in the process of changing them out for some short shots or big radius (just posted a thread about that asking the guys in here for some guidance).

They look great, but on long rides (Longer than 1 hour) I start to wish I had softer grips. I get a lot of compliments on them.

The iron 883 is such a sweet looking bike. I hope to get one for the girl someday.
