I just bought an iron I just learned to ride a bike at 43 yrs old.. its never too late.. lol
I begain on a 250 ninja , then a 600 ninja now I have the best.. I don't know y I didn't buy the Harley to begin with, I think I wanted to look cool.. but I get a lot of looks on the Harley.. I have to get the handlebard brought up and closer to me.. on turns on the iron, I find my arms are extended all the way and its hard to turn the damn bike.. I don't know if anyone else has had that issue? im going to try and get new bars put on tomorrow the guy said it would only take like one hour.. so far im loving my Harley its a lot of fun once you get past the fear of death.

 

yeah the cables look fine... you need a little extra to reach and also to turn... it looks like same length as mine...

 

One of my buddies was looking through this thread getting info on the iron model and deciding on weather or not to pick one up... he read a bunch of my posts and figured out it was me ... and decided to come by and check out my bike!!! I think we might have another iron owner pretty soon!!

 

added white grips and a passenger pillon. next up on the list: white walls, tank lift...

2011 iron here. Got it used, Looking to customize it more next year when My insurance isn't 520 bucks a month...

 

the lines do look a little bit longer then mine !!
maybe by a few inchs maybe 3 or 4 - but still look good
