Thanks...Would still like to stretch my legs more. They don't make anything in matte black for that. I would have to find something and have it powder coated. Haven't found anything that looks good yet.

 

Love the looks of those pipes on the Iron. Wish I would of seen those before I got the V$H Short Shots.

 

heres a pic of my exhaust, went a little different route than most. Heat wrapped the headers then threw on rush slip-ons with 2.25 baffles. the sound compared to stock is amazing, i recommend for everyone to upgrade. before i put these on i drilled about 4 1/4" holes in the center baffle of my stock, it made a difference in sound if anyone is looking for a cheap upgrade, not sure what it does to warranty or anything tho. Getting ready to take that pillion seat back off now that the wife got her own set of 2 wheels.

Not long passed my test at a HD 'Riders Edge'. Wasn't planning on buying a Harley, but man, after riding them for a week,do they get under your skin!
After last few weeks of trying out 'other' bikes, they didn't fire me up, really missed that heavy metal thunder V twin roar.
So, picked up an 883 Iron last week in silver (they ordered it in for a guy and decided he didn't like silver, so changed his mind, I snapped it up on the spot, had some V&H pipes installed, massive waiting list for the Iron in the UK), got it delivered yesterday, just come back from first ride tonite, and what a blast! Great fun! Turned some heads! Frightened livestock etc. Only hassle is the mirrors, but checked out the forum and looks like I'll sort it the weekend.
So, yeah, guess I'll post in the Iron thread next.

Anyway, 24 hours after joining the forum I've flipped my mirrors, looks cool, I'll road test it the weekend, see how I get on, any other suggestions for cool mods?

Hey everyone - new to the site and had a few questions. I'm wanting to install forward controls myself on my new Iron. Anyone know where I can buy a black forward control kit for a decent price?

 

Only black forwards are from Harley. I've been waiting over a month for mine to come in. They are on back order.

 

had my iron for two weeks now... cant stop thinkin of upgrades.. lokking for local riders to ride with wny area. pipes pc and air filetr kit to come on thursday. cant wait. goin with the vh ss and the pc 5 looking to bump the motor up a bit maybe that 1450 nrhs kit .. anybody herd of that yet safe ridin.. loud pipes save lifes

 

Have your dealer locate a dealer who has them in stock and see if that dealer will send them to your dealer. That's what my dealer did. I got mine in 2 days
