Okay so I bought my 2012 Iron883 in Feb. I haven't done much to it yet.
I am waiting until I feel comfortable enough to Install the RSD cafe clip-ons myself. I am going for the Roland Sands design cafe sportster.

I am going to order
*39mm black ops cafe clip-ons.
*RSD chrono grips.
*Headlight speedo relocator + LED
*New cables

I know I need -4" shorter throttle and idle cables and -8" shorter clutch cable, also need a shorter front brake line. a 28" long line with 20 degreee bajos on both ends.

I have no idea what the stock lengths for the throttle/idle and clutch cable are. Anyone know?


A sort of step by step guide would be amazing. (it's my only ride so i don't want to be stranded with unexpected issues)

anything I should be aware of ahead of time? potential problems?

2012 Iron with V&H Short Shots, Screaming Eagle Air Cleaner and Stage 1 mapping.

 

Just got my 1st bike last weekend! 2010 Iron!! A few mods have already been done to her. Freedom Performance American Outlaw 2 into 1 exhaust, dropped bars, forward controls, relocated speedometer. I love this bike! I have seen some of the pics of the irons some of you own and they are amazing! Any feed back or suggestions would be great!

I wished someone would do a Before and After dyno of this pipe.

Finished. Didn't get to shorten cables yet. Also my headlight doesn't work now...

I just picked up my Lil' Red Sporty the first of April. Couldn't turn down the offer, even if the old lady isn't happy. Added QD windshield, sissy bar, saddle bags and today a Jagg oil cooler is being installed.
Never dreamed I would like bling and a "RED" ride, red attracts too much attention. but it is a beautiful bike!
