I was drawn to this particular Iron and couldn't get it off my mind. After some unsuccessful negotiations I struck a deal. It was supposed to be delivered to my home tonight but the dealer fell behind an I have to wait until tomorrow to get it home and ride it. Can't wait...

 

 

I dig the look of those low bars much more than the ape hangers. I've never really understood ape hangers....

 

Well i made the jump and sold my supermoto (plus some financing) for a 2012 brand new iron 883 got it home flipped the mirrors and put about 30 miles on it.

Sad to say 30 hours later it was stolen while i was at a buddys house. cant believe it but luckily i had GAP insurance

Plans for my next are to flip mirrirs, 48 seat, lowering blocks, speedo relocate, remove front fender, remove front reflector. should be sweet!

 

How hard is it to remove that little black headlight shroud on the Iron?
I assume it's just there for looks.

 

Actually, the headlight mounts to that. Loosen the nut to adjust the beam.
