Just got the v&h short shots ordered. I was planning to install them myself to save money on labor from the stealership. Any pointers or tips? I've been looking at the stock exhaust to where I would be unbolting from the heads. Some look like it may be real tight to get in there with a regular socket wrench. Any tips would be appreciated.

 

It's a very easy install. Getting new exhaust gaskets is a good idea. You can loosen the heat shields or just take them off and that makes getting to those bolts easier. The instructions are real clear and easy to follow.

 

Hi Mortamous ,love the bike , i have had the pillion seat sent to me in the uk thanks to you , could you tell me if the colour of the seat is the same , mine is not the edge of the primary seat is not jet black , it is sort of gray / black , just thought it would be the same colour ,

Don't own a Iron 883 but I do have to say that it is one of the coolest retro looking bikes I have see thus far.

Just picked up my 2012 iron a week ago. Feel like I died and went to dark custom heaven. I got the V&H staggered shorties put on right away (with baffles) and the HD straight drag bar. I'm new to the whole riding game and this is my first bike. Quite honestly, it might just be the only bike I'll ever want. I'll post some pics soon.
